User Researcher

We are looking for a user researcher to join us to complete our mission. You’re a visionary self starter with a real passion for knowledge and learning. You’ll get excited by working on a big mission with a diverse dynamic team.

At OkHi, user research is a vital part of our culture. We build, measure and learn with data and user insights informing what we do next. As a researcher at OkHi you will collaborate with the product team to drive projects from briefing through research activities to sharing insights and recommendations.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work with product manager, design and engineering to understand research requirements
  • Assess research methods and propose appropriate techniques to carry out research activities
  • Recruit research participants based on defined user types and conduct field research, user interviews and observational studies
  • Document findings, synthesize and share product recommendations


  • Experience carrying out field research (in Kenya preferable) and conducting user interviews
  • Observational research skills or experience conducting in-situ observations
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of information and communicate significant insights, themes and recommendations verbally and in standard documentation
  • Interest in user data and combining it with user research
  • Experience with creative methodologies a plus (eg. design thinking)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
